Two labourers were killed after thieves fired bullets on them at Antroli village in Palsana late night on Saturday. The duo was trying to prevent a theft at a school which was under construction.

According to sources, labourers were working at the scholl building which was under construction since last few months. On Saturday around 1:30 am, five to six unidentified people tried to break into the school building attempting robbery. Hearing the noise, Arjun Singh and Jitendra Singh, who were sleeping in the verandah, nabbed the thieves.
During the process, one of them fired bullets with a country-made revolver on Arjun and Jitendra. The two were killed on the spot and the thieves fled from the spot.
Watchman and other labourers working present in the compound rushed to the spot. Later, they informed the owner of the school and police.

Police officials investigated the entire school compound and recovered empty shells of country made bullets. Dog squad and FSL team was rushed to the spot to collect further proofs. Till late in the evening, cops could not ascertain the reasons for the murder neither they had any clue of the thieves. Again, due to limited identity proofs, police were unable to find history of the workers. Kadodara police is investigating the
matter.
