US-based Indian Prakash Amritraj and partner Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi of Pakistan on Thursday, bowed out in the first round of the USD 2,233,500 Dubai Tennis Championship, losing in straight sets to Czech-Swede pair of Martin Damm and Robert Lindstedt, here.
The Indo-Pak wildcard holder gave tough fight to Damm and Lindstedt before losing 6-7 (4), 5-7.
Damm and Lindstedt will next take on Italian Simone Bolelli and Croat Ivo Karlovic in the quarter-finals. The unseeded pair of Bolelli and Karlovic had earlier upset third seed Indo-Czech pair of Leander Paes and Lukas Dlouhy in the opening round.
Another Indian in fray, Mahesh Bhupathi and Bahamian partner Mark Knowles, seeded second, had already booked their place in the quarter-finals where they will meet Rik De Voest of South Africa and Dmitry Tursunov of Russia.
