Justice Ramana said, "CBI has taken up probe on February 20. It is five days and the state is yet to provide infrastructure to them."
The CBI informed the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday that the state government was not helping it probe the Satyam accounting fraud, after which the state promptly assured the investigating agency of providing necessary support by Saturday.
The state is yet to provide any infrastructural support like building premises for setting of office and vehicles to the 16-member CBI team. "We require a building for setting up of an office and vehicles urgently," the CBI counsel T Niranjan Reddy submitted before the High Court.
After hearing the CBI counsel, justice MV Ramana observed, "The CBI team didn't come by itself, the state had invited them to carry out the investigation. So, it's the state's responsibility to provide the required assistance."
The state government promptly assured the CBI that necessary infrastructure, including location of camp office and other logistics, would be provided to the CBI by Saturday, official sources said.
