BJP's prime ministerial candidate LK Advani's daughter, Pratibha Advani, has ruled out joining politics and would instead focus on her present role as a television interviewer.

"I am not going to jump into politics. If ever I get into politics, I should be able to do it full-time. I want to settle in my career now," Pratibha Advani said on Thursday night.

She was here at an event organised by Friends of BJP, an association of businessmen who have pledged their support to the party in the coming Lok Sabha elections.

"I am not even a BJP member," she said.

To a query, she said the Indian media was negative in its approach.

"Any thing that is positive on India is pushed to the last page or somewhere obscure. Media here is negative in its approach," Advani said.

It is at loggerheads with each other to get more sensational news, she said. She would be campaigning for her father in the Lok Sabha elections, she said.

Friends of BJP supports the party on three fronts. BJP would give good governance, economic growth and national security, Rajesh Jain, a member of the organisation, said.

"The BJP may not be the whitest of parties, but in our view, it is by far the better, cleaner, more democratic, less feudal and more promising of the two national options," Jain said.
