Even though rumours are rife in the media circles that Shahid Kapur has put his dad’s project on hold and has opted out of shooting for another film, the truth is Shahid is going out of his way to accommodate his dad.

Shahid’s schedule is packed with quite a few releases this year including Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminay, Ken Gosh’s tentatively titled Yahoo, and Yash Raj’s film based on cricket. Along with that after considering the neck injury that Shahid is suffering from he doesn’t even have a month to spare for another film.

Says a source, “Due to his neck injury, all his shoots had to be postponed. He had to go through long physiotherapy sessions. So now he has to shoot for all those pending films.”

Shahid has instructed his secretary that he is not willing to take a break from the gruelling shooting schedule that will entail if he wants to finish shooting of his dad’s movie in a record time of three months.

“Shahid wants to finish all his other movies before starting the shoot for this movie. He will spend two months just for the preparation of the movie and three months for the shoot,” the source says. In these two months, Shahid is going to squeeze in training camps and workshops too.

“There will be voice modulation sessions, training camp, acting workshops, look tests and much more.  He is again going to sport a new look for this film,” the source adds.
Shahid’s parents divorced when he was three. After the divorce of his parents, he continued living with his mother Neelima Azim. However, he had always maintained cordial relations with his father and with his step mother Supriya Pathak.

Pankaj Kapoor is considered as one of the most talented actors in the country. He has got two national Best Actor awards in his kitty for Ek Doctor Ki Maut (1991) and Vishal Bhardwaj’s Maqbool (2003).
