Army rescues four persons from snow avalanche

Areas of Tuleel and Gurez near the Line of Control, were cut off from rest of the Valley last month and have been experiencing fresh snowfall since last couple of days.

SRINAGAR: Four persons were rescued by the army when they were buried under a snow avalanche in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said on Monday.

Four persons were buried in a snow avalanche at Tuleel in Bandipora district on Sunday but were rescued by the army, the sources said.

Condition of one of the rescued persons identified as Jamil Lone was stated to be critical, they added.
