Audi cuts car prices by 4%

Audi India said it is cutting prices of its cars following revision of excise duty and central value added tax by four percent.

MUMBAI: Audi India on Tuesday said it is cutting prices of its cars following revision of excise duty and central value added tax by four percent.
    
"We welcome this announcement by the Government of India. Audi believes in providing value to the customers and hence the entire four per cent reduction will be passed on to our customers," Audi India Managing Director Benoit Tiers said in a statement.
    
Audi sells A8, Q7, A6 and TT models in India. It has dealerships in Ahmedabad, Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ludhiana, Chennai, Kochi and Kolkata.
    
Audi's A8 price would be cut by Rs 2,79,000, Q7 by Rs 1,51,000, A6 by Rs 1,51,000 and A4 by Rs 1,21,000, it said.
