NEW DELHI: With the arrest of three people, who hail from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi police today claimed to have solved six cases of alleged auto thefts.
    
Police have recovered six stolen motorcycles from the possession of the three arrested, a press release issued by DCP South-West district Shalini Singh read.
    
Acting on a tip off, a team of special staff of South West district apprehended Sarfaraj, Rahisuddin and Aabid from
Muzaffar Nagar of Sector 6, Dwarka market with a stolen motor bike, Singh said in the statement.
    
After the police found that the registration number of the motorcycle was fake, the three persons reportedly admitted that they had stolen the vehicle from the R K Puram area.
    
Upon further interrogation, the accused confessed that they were involved in many cases of autorickshaw thefts in different states, the statement said.
    
The recovered motorcycles have UP, Harayana and Delhi registration numbers.
