Shweta Tiwari says that she will not mind doing a steamy scene on screen if the ‘script demands’

Though TV actor Shweta Tiwari initially started off as a theatre artist and she now says that it will be difficult for her to give any time to theatre.

She says, “Theatre needs lots of time. I love to perform on the stage. It gives me a kick to perform in front of a live audience. But I prefer to do television now because it has a lot of glamour. Also, it has better money whereas there's no money in theatre. Doing television is more convenient because it saves time too.”

Not only is she doing television but she is also acting in regional movies. Shweta says, “I've done a Punjabi film called Apni Boli Apna Desh which is slated to release soon. It's a love story.”

Shweta says that she's already flooded with offers from Bollywood but “they are not good enough”. And to beat all that, she says she's open to bold scenes too.

Shweta says, “I am open to all kinds of scenes. If someone wants me to wear a swimming suit in a swimming pool scene, I will not say that I want to wear a sari for that (scene). But if they want me to wear a swimming costume and run on the beach, I will not do it until and unless the script requires it.”

Shweta refuses to comment anything on the recent statement that her ex-husband Raja Chowdhury has made where he says that he wants to come back to Shweta. But ask her if she's open to doing a film with Raja and she diplomatically says, “I will not do a movie with him now because I have no time."

She's busy with the soap Jaane Kya Baat Hui which is seen on Colors. “I play a housewife called Aaradhna Sarin in that. The soap deals with the kinds of problems that women have to face in our Indian societies because our societies have double standards.”

Ask about what eight-year-old daughter Palak is going through post their divorce and Shweta simply says, “She's a very understanding child.”
