Have you ever been to India?
Even though I’ve never visited India, I know a few things about it. I would love to visit the place where Octopussy was shot because it seemed grand. The film industry in India is huge.

What do you like about Indian women?
They are just gorgeous. They are simple yet beautiful, serene yet strong and yes, the actresses are talented.

Would you want any of them to feature as the Bond girl?
A Bond girl requires extreme talent comprising of acting and martial arts. I am sure Indian women nowadays are better than the best at that.

Many people haven’t liked the title of your new film Quantum of Solace.
I remember what Ian Fleming, the Bond creator once said, ‘I wanted the simplest, dullest, plainest-sounding name I could find. ‘James Bond’ was much better than something more interesting like ‘Peregrine Carruthers’. So, don’t you think that the name James Bond itself spells enough mileage?

Five actors have played James Bond before you. What flavour have you imparted to the character?
From Sean Connery to Pierce Brosnan, every Bond actor has added something special to the character. Bond has always been upgraded with every star taking care of the legacy. I have attached emotions to the rock solid image of Bond. I do the maximum number of stunts. I don’t know whether I have been successful or not. But I feel fantastic being the Bond 007.

You have been in a long term relationship with film producer Satsuki Mitchell. Is marriage on the cards?
Yes, our relationship has been going on for a long time. I like her company very much. She is  very talented and intelligent. She helps me at various stages of my films. We both tune well. Though one never knows, I don’t think marriage will happen soon.
