BHOPAL: Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh on Wednesday lashed out at the 'Sangh Pariwar' for spreading hatred against Muslims in the country.

Speaking at a function organised by a local daily on the topics that should be included in the Congress manifesto for the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, he compared Sangh Pariwar with the Nazis who also preached hatred for the Jews.

He said that like Hitler, the 'Sangh Pariwar' also strongly believes in speaking lies again and again so that it is regarded as truth.

Singh, who is a former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, said three ideologies exist in the country on Wednesday.

These ideologies include Sangh Pariwar's fascist ideology, the Communist ideology and Mahatama Gandhi's ideology of non-violence and communal harmony which is followed by Congress, said he.

The Congress General Secretary said although individuals contested elections in the country, the electoral fight was mainly between parties and their ideologies.

Singh recalled that when he was Chief Minister, the BJP had put several obstacles in the path of setting up power plants which otherwise would have come up in time.
