"The country rolled out the red carpet not only for Azmi but also to actor Dilip Kumar alias Yusuf Khan, Suraiya, Waheeda Rehman and the recent genre of actors like Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan," Sinha said.

On Azmi's remarks that being a muslim she could not buy a flat in the tinsel town of Mumbai, Sinha wrly said she stays in a posh apartment.

"Moreover, several muslim actors own posh bungalows in Mumbai", Sinha said. .

"Shahrukh's sprawling bungalow 'Mannat' is one of the well known addresses in Mumbai," Sinha added.

"It is the greatness of the country that it never discriminated among personalities including artistes on the basis of his/her religion," said Sinha.
