Rave Party gets bigger

A UK production house will now produce Rave Party, the movie based on the rape and murder of British teenager Scarlett Keeling

Prabhakar Shukla’s ambitious project Rave Party about the horrific rape and murder of 15-year-old British tourist Scarlett Keeling is getting bigger and bigger with each day.
Pixel Productions Limited, a UK production house, will back the film and director Prabhakar is ecstatic about this development. Prabhakar had earlier directed Kahani Gudiya Ki, the true story of a girl and her plight after her husband becomes a prisoner of war.

“It is great that we have got a UK producer’s support. The film is just growing bigger every day. I’m amazed at the support and expectation my film is building. I just can’t wait to start this project. Even some Hollywood actresses have shown an inclination towards this project,” says Prabhakar.

Ask him whether Katrina has been signed for the role of Scarlett and Prabhakar says, “As of now I cannot say anything. Everything will be finalised soon and we will make an announcement of our cast,” he says.

Rave Party, which will be shot mostly in Goa, will focus on the drug peddling scenario in the state.

In February, Scarlett was found dead on Anjuna beach in Goa. Police had said she had died from accidental drowning. Later it was revealed that she was raped and killed. It was said Scarlett was given ecstasy, cocaine and LSD on the night she died.
