The lost ‘K’onnection

They were both late and they had different excuses. Yes, we all ‘missed’ Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan at the music launch of Kismat Konnection

It was ‘pack up’ even before the event had started. What was touted to be one of the most happening film music launches turned out to be one of the worst.

Kismat Konnection couldn’t even connect with the media as the TV journalists started leaving the venue even before the actual launch!

The event time on the card said 8.30 pm and everyone expected it to start an hour late like all ‘starry’ events. And then the skies thundered, the wind blew and the lead pair Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan breeze in. Yes, a good two hours late. Vidya dressed in an inky blue dress, black peep-toes and diamond ear-rings. If you have recovered from that, a quick glance at Shahid Kapoor  and there the ‘chocolate boy’ came dressed in a sequinned T-shirt with butterfly-like creatures embossed on it. The duo arrived together but gave different excuses.

Vidya, who was trying hard to brighten the room with her smile said, “There was horrible, horrible traffic. Sorry. I don’t know why Shahid has arrived late though?”
Like we didn’t know.

Shahid said, “There was some miscommunication, I thought I have to reach the venue by 10 pm.”

To be honest, the wait didn’t seem to bear any fruit. The duo posed for photographs, but refused to give any interviews to the print media.
