Tanzania Shamsa S Mwangunga met Tourism and Culture Minister Ambika Soni here and sought India's help in developing hospitality sector and training of manpower in Tanzania.

NEW DELHI: India and Tanzania have stressed on the need for steps to curb the impact of rising prices of petroleum products on the tourism sector.
Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism of Tanzania Shamsa S Mwangunga on Wednesday met Tourism and Culture Minister Ambika Soni here and sought India's help in developing hospitality sector and training of manpower in Tanzania.
The Tanzanian minister also sought India's help in restoring a direct flight between the two countries.
Earlier an Air India flight was going directly to Tanzania but now it goes via Kenya.
Assuring all possible cooperation between the two countries, Soni said Tanzania enjoys a rich cultural bondage with India and this bonding will go further "if we exchange ideas and policies to promote tourism in each other's country".
She offered invitation to Tanzanian writers and journalists to visit India for better understanding of tourism sector in the country.
