Teen star Miley Cyrus about Hannah Montana and her favourite bands
Is it easy or difficult to play two different roles and how do you change the colour of your hair? What are the secrets to change?
Well, I wear a blonde wig and it’s kind of hard. It’s hard, because I’ll be in the middle of the scene and I’m like, “Who am I? Who am I supposed to be? Who was thinking what?” And sometimes that’s crazy. It’s really fun because of what it would be like in real life. Everyone would be like, “This is kind of creepy,” with two people in the same situation. So that shows the reality what Hannah Montana goes through.
What are some of the favourite moments of filming the series so far?
Luckily, we’ve head a great chance to work with lot of great actors on the show. Every scene that I do, every time that I get on the floor is a chance to learn. It was really awesome for all of us to get to watch Dolly Parton and see how she treats people. She is the nicest person you will ever meet. She’s had such an amazing success, She’s from Tennessee too, so it’s good to see her success, knowing that that can happen to a small-town girl is awesome.
What’s the best thing about working with your dad?
It is sharing this journey with my dad and every day just getting to hang out with my best friend and be with my dad all day. It’s a lot of fun.
Have you had any similar experiences to those of Hannah’s?
All of my life I’ve just been working for this. I’ve wanted this so much. Now that it’s here, I’m really - like, that part is just another, a part of this lifestyle. It’s really not a bad thing. It’s really cool to get to see all the people that are out there supporting you.
Who are your favorite pop stars and what music do you listen to at home?
I listen to Kelly Clarkson and from Nashville. My sister is going to school to be a photographer, so she goes with all these bands and takes pictures of their concerts. They’re really good.
Who gets the best fan mail, Miley Cyrus, Miley Stewart or Hannah Montana?
Like, there’s a picture someone will send to Miley Cyrus of Hannah Montana, and like a letter — I just got one that was like, “Can you give this to Hannah Montana for me?” So I was, like, “Huh, okay. I’ll do that.” But yeah, Miley Cyrus gets a lot of mails, but then again, Hannah Montana gets a lot of comments about her songs and stuff. So it’s kind of equal.
Would you like Hannah’s fan mail?
Ummmm, some of it. Some of it’s interesting. Some of it’s the lyrics to the songs and stuff, and they’ll like, send me their favorite lines, which is cool too, cause you know what people like.
