The actor has agreed to feature in the film, which marks the re-launch of her business manager’s daughter Bhumicka Singh, reports Shilpa Jamkhandikar

She’s going to have a busy year ahead of her, what with Ramu’s Sarkar Raj and the big Rajnikanth starrer Robot, but Aishwarya Rai has found the time to play an important role in her business manager Hari Singh’s film, to be directed by Jagmohan Mundhra.

“I narrated a script to Aishwarya and she absolutely loved it. The film will relaunch my daughter Bhumicka Singh, but Aishwarya has a very substantial part in it. The film is still in the scritpting stage and the other leads are yet to be finalised,” says Hari Singh.

Director Jagmohan Mundhra is also excited to be working with Aishwarya again, after Provoked. “I am really keen to be working with Aishwarya again, and even though I haven’t seen the script yet, I want to do this film. She has given us a three week period to do this film with her,” he says.

But is a three-week period enough? “Well, I have canned Provoked in just 42 days, so I can do wonders in three weeks,” says the director, who also has a grouse against the organisers of Bollywood film awards for ‘totally ignoring’ Aishwarya’s performance in the nominations.

“There are some who say that since the film was in English, it was not nominated, but I notice that Irrfan Khan has been nominated for his performance in The Namesake, when that was in English. I think it’s really unfair for them to have neglected Aishwarya,” he adds.

The film with Bhumicka is likely to go on the floors by mid 2008 and they hope to release it by early 2009, Singh added.
