Infosys pursuing $1,500 mn plus bills overseas

Infosys on Tuesday said it is pursuing $1,500-million plus bills overseas, while it expects to earn more than 5 per cent of its total revenue over the next 5 years.

NEW DELHI: India's second largest software exporter Infosys on Tuesday said it is pursuing 1,500-million dollar plus bills overseas, while it expects to earn more than 5 per cent of its total revenue over the next 5 years from the country.
    
"We are in the reckoning of 1,500 million dollar plus bills outside India," Krish Gopalakrishna Managing Director and CEO Infosys Technologies said here.
    
The company which has recently set up a special business unit to drive its revenues from India, currently at 3 per cent, aims to have significant revenues from the local market.
    
"India will be a significant part of our revenue profile, by significant, I mean it is over 5 per cent, Gopalakrishna said, adding the drivers of growth in India will be financial services, telecom, manufacturing and retail.
    
Stating that India's IT services market is about 5-6 billion dollars, he said the deals from the country could be multi-million dollar small deals but refused to give any size.
