Janhavi Kapoor was arrested from her residence in suburban Andheri for allegedly attempting suicide outside the Bachchan residence.
MUMBAI: A court here granted bail to Janhavi Kapoor, an aspiring actor who tried to allegedly commit suicide outside Amitabh Bachchan's residence Prateeksha here early on Friday morning.
Kapoor was granted bail for Rs10,000 by a metropolitan magistrate's court.
She had been charged with attempting to commit suicide by police who arrested her from her home in suburban Andheri.
Hours ahead of Abhishek Bachchan's marriage with Aishwarya Rai, Kapoor claimed she was involved in a romantic relationship with him.
Earlier, she was taken to Cooper Hospital for medical tests as police suspected she was under the influence of narcotic drugs.

"We have arrested Kapoor from her residence in the jurisdiction of Oshiwara police station and will be producing her before the magistrate in the Andheri court," Deputy Commissioner of Police VK Choube said.
Janhavi Kapoor, who had done a minor role in Abhishek starrer 'Dus', created a furore outside the Bachchan residence 'Prateeksha' in suburban Juhu by slashing her wrist early on Friday morning, claiming that she was married to the junior Bachchan. She claimed she was originally Janhavi Kapoor and her name was changed to Haya Rizvi when her mother married a Muslim.
With cuts in her wrist, police rushed her to Cooper Hospital where she was treated for her wounds. From there she was taken to Juhu police station where she gave a written statement making a claim of her marriage with Abhishek.
With a bandage on her wrist, she met reporters at her residence making various claims that Abhishek had married her in December, applied 'sindoor' on her forehead and had promised that he would publicly solemnise it after he gets a Filmfare award.
In between, a TV channels aired Kalbe Sajid, who claiming to her father-in-law, said she had married one Kalbe Hussain in April 1997.
