'Kashmiri Muslims should support yatra'

JAMMU: The All Party Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) on Friday urged Kashmiri Muslims to extend their support to Amarnath yatra to promote peace and harmony in the state.

Kashmiri Muslims should extend their support to the yatra like they did while reopening of temples like Tripur Sundri-Khanabarnain (Devsar), Shiva Temple Sagam (Kokernag), Shiva Bhagwati (Akingam), Uma Nagri (Brari Angan), Mata Kolaveghshwari Shrine (Kulgam) and Roopabawani Shrine (Sumbal Sonawari), APMCC President Vinood Pandit said here.

The APMCC is an organisation of 14 Kashmiri Hindu bodies. Pandit spearheaded the recent reopening of seven temples in Brari Angan area of Anantnag district.

He also welcomed the government's decision to launch direct flights from Srinagar to Mecca.
