SRINAGAR: Srinagar will soon get several landmarks over the next couple of years as work on development projects worth Rs 210 crore is in full swing, the state government said.

"The government is determined to provide well-built roads, bridges and buildings in Srinagar," State Minister for Roads and Buildings Jugal Kishore said after inspecting various projects in the city on Wednesday.

Construction of the Rs 42 crore Handicrafts Complex in the city would be completed within 18 months. The Rs 3.70 crore business development centre at Urban Haat is also on its final stages, he said.

Kishore also visited the site of four-lane Pantha Chowk-Parimpora road to be constructed at cost of Rs 60.67 crore by October.

The minister visited the site of collapsed Goripora-Bemina bridge and asked officials to reconstruct it soon.
