NEW DELHI: Having suffered their first defeat in the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the hands of Kings XI Punjab Saturday, Delhi Daredevils will be looking to atone for it when they take on troubled Bangalore Royal Challengers at home on Wednesday.

Daredevils are currently placed at the fourth spot in the points table after two wins from three matches while Royal Challengers are seventh with just one victory from four matches in this eight-team league.

It was just a bad day in office for the Daredevils at Mohali Saturday as it could have been anybody's match. The match went down to the wires and was decided only in the last over with just three balls to spare.

But in the loss, there was a silver lining for the Delhi team because despite the big guns failing to boom the younger ones in Manoj Tewari and Dinesh Karthik shouldered the responsibilities to help Daredevils put up a competitive score on board.

And they need to fire again at the Feroze Shah Kotla Wednesday to help Daredevils move up the points table.

The Delhi team led by Virender Sehwag will again hope for him to blaze against the Royal Challengers. Sehwag single-handedly mauled the Deccan Chargers bowlers in their second match and if he gets going it will be difficult for Zaheer Khan and Co. to stop the Delhi captain.

A good start at the top by Gautam Gambhir and Sehwag will make the task easy for the Daredevils and a strong middle-order in Pakistani Shoaib Malik, Shikhar Dhawan, Tewari and Karthik will be a challenge for the Royal Challengers.

The Bangalore team is still in troubled waters and after their loss to Chennai Super Kings Sunday night it will take a lot from Rahul Dravid and Co. to come out of it.

Dravid's bowlers have been erratic and so have his batsmen. The captain himself has failed to fire and if they want to get some points on board they need to changethe situation very quickly.
