KABUL: Police say gunmen have kidnapped two Indian road construction workers and a taxi driver in western Afghanistan.
Police spokesman Abdul Rauf Ahmadi says the Indians were abducted on Monday in Herat province as they were traveling on the main highway towards Kabul.
Ahmadi says police are searching for the men, but have made no arrests.
There have been a series of attacks on Indian road construction workers in the region. On April 12, a suicide attacker blew himself up next to an Indian road crew, killing two Indian workers and their Afghan driver.
