NEW DELHI: Ace Indian marksman Gagan Narang finished fifth in the finals of the men's three position event on the last day of the International Sport Shooting Federation World Cup at Beijing.

According to information received here, Gagan, who won the bronze April 14 in the men's 10-m air rifle event, qualified for the men's three-position finals with a score of 1165 (Prone 394, Standing 385, Kneeling 386) Sunday.

He shot a good score of 97.5 in the finals but fell short a few points from the bronze medallist and eventually settled for the fifth place with a total score of 1262.5.

Jesselin Henry of France won the gold in this event, with a score of 1268.8 (1173+95.8).
