SHILLONG: State-run BSNL has introduced a scheme of personal accident insurance for all its customers with Rs 50,000 coverage, telecom major's Chief General Manager (NE-1) A K Gupta said on Saturday.
A post-paid customer would be entitled to the insurance scheme which includes accidental death and permanent disability due to accident, he told reporters here.
Holding 2008 as customer year, BSNL had also made efforts to ease payment of monthly bills through pre-paid vouchers.
Initially, this service was being implemented for mobile post-paid customers and would shortly be extended to the landline customers, Gupta said, adding that the customers could make their payments anywhere.
