Class 8 student crushed to death by UP Roadways bus

BULANDSHAHR: A class 8 student was crushed to death by a Uttar Pradesh Roadways bus in the busy Khurja Adda locality here on Monday, prompting a mob to vent their anger by damaging over 10 buses at a nearby workshop.
 
Police had to use mild force to disperse the crowd protesting against the death of Aas Mohammad.
 
The mob entered into the nearby UPSRTC workshop, pelted stones and damaged about 12 buses following the accident.
 
The crowd demanded filing of a case against the driver, who fled soon after the accident, and his arrest besides shifting of the main gate of the school which opens into the crowded street.
 
Circle Officer Mukul Dwivedi said a case of negligent driving has been registered and three teams have been formed to arrest the driver.
