Among the must-see places in Adelaide is the Bradman Collection, a museum that displays more than 100 items of Sir Donald Bradman’s personal gear.

Some of the memorabilia were donated to the museum by Bradman himself. Prominent among the collection are a bat with which he scored then world record score of 334 (it was eventually bettered by Brian Lara) in a Test against England in Leeds in 1930, the bat with which Don had scored then world record first class score of 452 not out in Sydney in January 1930 (it was eventually bettered by Lara again) and 100th first class century.

The 100th ton had come against India in Sydney in November 1947. Among the visitors to the museum on Saturday was Manoj Tiwary. The young Bengal batsman, out in the cold after playing a match in the ongoing tri-series, must have got enough inspiration.
