President on two day visit to Karnataka

BANGALORE: President Prathiba Patil on Friday arrived here on a two-day visit to Karnataka.
  
Governor Rameshwar Thakur, Former Chief Minister N Dharm Singh, KPCC President Mallikarjun Kharge and top officials received the President at the airport on her arrival by special flight.
  
During her stay, Ms Patil would inaugurate the First Anniversary Celebrations of the Bangalore Mediation Centre in the evening.
   
After an overnight stay at the Raj Bhavan, she would flag off Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation's much awaited luxury train -- Golden Chariot.
   
The President was also scheduled to visit the world heritage centre of Hampi before her departure to New Delhi.
