What prompted you to make these strong statements?
The functioning of our state is pathetic and I spoke as a minister of this cabinet. I feel pained to see lakhs of people suffering while this government is not concerned.

There was speculation you tendered your resignation on Friday.
I have not given my resignation to anybody in Congress. These are all rumours. I will follow Madam’s guidance.

Do you not think you have broken with Congress traditions?
Yes, I have broken the tradition if you think so. At least I am paving a new path in this party and giving it new direction. I am positive about my future as I have not done or said anything wrong.
