SHIMLA: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati will hold at least six public rallies in Himachal Pradesh starting on Saturday ahead of the assembly polls in the state later this month.

These rallies will be held at Baddi, Shimla, Dharamsala, Sundernagar, Nurpur and Una from Dec 8-16, a spokesman of the party said here Friday.

For the first time BSP is fighting all the assembly seats in the state.

The party is hoping to make a dent in the established vote banks of the two major parties in the hill state, the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The second and last phase of polling for 65 assembly seats will take place Dec 19. The counting of votes is on Dec 28.
