KOLKATA: An 'uneasy' pacer Zaheer Khan did not practice as the Indians played football and had a two and half hour net session ahead of the second Test against Pakistan beginning on Friday.

"Zaheer felt uneasy. So he did not practice but there is nothing wrong with him," team manager Lalchand Rajput said.

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar did not bat at the nets, and confined himself to some knocking by the side of the centre pitch, besides performing fielding drills at the Eden Gardens.

"Nothing should be read into it. He is a seasoned pro. And, he often prefers not to bat at the nets immediately before Test matches. He did the same thing before the first Test in Delhi," Rajput said.

The other Indian players, after a limbering up session, played football for about 15 minutes, with Sourav Ganguly showing the most keeness.

Ganguly, who had toyed with the idea of taking up soccer as a career in all seriousness before turning a full-time cricketer, was easily the most proficient in the game among all the players.

Rahul Dravid, whose form with the willow has been a matter of concern of late, spent the maximum time on the ground. The former skipper was the first to enter and the last to leave the turf.

Even after his teammates had left the ground, Rahul batted for a while.
