The Indian Television Academy award, considered the most coveted award of TV industry, was held on November 24 in Mumbai. The winner in the category of the Best Documentary was Woh 60 Din (Zee News Ltd).

Reminiscing about the documentary, Mrigakshi Shukla, producer said, “On the occasion of 60 years of Indian Independence this documentary focused on the last 60 days before August 15.

The challenge was to make it interesting because as soon as you talk about history viewers loose interest. Since Lord Mountbatten had already announced the date he had to rush back from Islamabad on the 14th after taking part in the independence celebration at Pakistan.”

Receiving the award did come as a pleasant surprise to this young dreamer. The career-oriented lady says, “My work means a great deal to me. I am one of those few who get to do what they love  and earn a living out of it.”

Being a producer and bilingual journalist having six years of television experience, Mrigakshi is the producer of a weekly magazine called ‘The Inside Story’.
