NEW DELHI: Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan's decision that he would not go to watch a cricket match again not only created ripples in the Indian Cricket Board but also left Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik disappointed.

Malik's elder brother Imran, watching the first Indo-Pak Test at the Ferozeshah Kotla here, said his whole family liked Shahrukh a lot and Shoaib was disappointed to know that the actor may not come to watch any match again.

"We often discuss cricketing matters at length and yesterday Shoaib was very disappointed after knowing about Shahrukh's statement," said Imran.

"He (Shoaib) was of the view that if we can go and watch their films why cannot they watch our matches?"

BCCI Chief Administrative Officer Ratnakar Shetty had on Tuesday said that cricket matches were being used by filmstars to promote their movies after Shahrukh watched the fifth ODI between India and Pakistan at Jaipur and talked about his latest release, 'Om Shanti Om', on the live telecast.

After learning about the Shetty's objections, Shahrukh said he was sad and disappointed and would not go to watch cricket matches in future.
