NEW DELHI: With Twenty20 cricket threatening to eat into the viewership for other formats of the game, the Delhi and District Cricket Association aims to woo fans with low-priced tickets for the first Test between India and Pakistan which begins November 22.

The DDCA will sell tickets on concessional rates for students and local cricketers -- Rs 40 per day and five-day 'season tickets' at Rs 200 -- for entry into the Ferozeshah Kotla ground.

"We want more and more people to watch the Test match so we have made it pocket-friendly for Delhi cricket fans," DDCA Secretary S P Bansal said.

The stadium, now multi-storeyed, has an enhnaced capacity of 46,000 from the previous 28,000 seats.

Other season tickets are of various denominations including Rs 400, Rs 750 and Rs 1,250 while daily tickets will go for Rs 80, Rs 150, and Rs 250 -- a reduced price since the last time Kotla hosted an international match.

The clubhouse category would be available for Rs 1,500 per day while Rs 7,500 for the five days, Bansal said.

"We has also reduced the number of passes. This time we'll issue only around 10,000 to 12,000 passes," he said.
