2 Indian girls killed in accident in Sharjah

DUBAI: Two Indian girls were killed and three others were injured when a car rammed into another car parked on Al Dhaid-Sharjah highway on Thursday.

Haroun Rashid, from Kerala, was returning from Al Dhaid to Sharjahan with his pregnant wife Fabina and two daughters Ayeesha Diya (6) and Dina Ruqiya (3), when the accident happened.

Rashid had parked his car on the sideways to take a nap when another car hit it from behind, Gulf News reported.

The two girls, who were sleeping in the back of their car, died on the spot and Fabina was rushed to the Al Qasimi Hospital where she delivered a baby boy after an emergency operation.

A relative of the family said that Haroun escaped unhurt in the accident but the driver of the other car is in critical condition.
