Tata Steel MD launches company website

JAMSHEDPUR: Tata Steel Managing Director B Muthuraman on Sunday launched its website to mark the Centenary celebrations of the company at the Centre For Excellence here.

Speaking on the occasion, Muthuraman said the company would observe the day till 2008 and the celebrations would come to an end with a Mega event.

He said the company was committed to its Corporate Social Responsibiltiy (CSR) and the bondage between the Tata Steel and the society would remain intact.

Muthuraman said the company had chalked out various plans for the beautification of the city and a huge park would be set up at Rivers' Meet area at Sonari.

Besides, a City Centre Mall would also be constructed at Golmuri area here.

Earlier in the day, Air Deccan launched its flight connecting Jamshedpur to Kolkata as a part of the Tata Steel's Centenary celebrations.

The company had also organised an in-house programme for its workers inside the comapny premises this evening.
