KOCHI: Kerala-based PDP chairman Abdul Nasser Madhani on Tuesday appeared before a court in Ernakulam and executed bail bonds in 21 criminal cases registered against him in different police stations across the state.

Madhani, released from Coimbatore jail last week after being exonerated of all charges against him in the serial bomb blast cases, had been granted bail in 21 cases by a magistrate court.

Even though he was asked to appear before the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court as the magistrate concerned was on leave, he appeared before Judicial First
Class Magistrate Tony Varghese.

The Magistrate adjourned the case to August 13. The Kerala High Court had transferred all the 21 cases pending before various courts in the state to the ACJM Court in Ernakulam.

Subsequently, bail was granted on condition that Madhani shall appear before the ACJM court, within seven days of his release from Coimbatore Jail.
