SIRSA: Two followers of Dera Sacha Sauda allegedly involved in firing on Sikhs protesting against a religious discourse in Mallewala village last month have been arrested.
The incident took place when Sikhs of the village started protesting against the 'nam charcha' being held at the residence of one Jit Singh.
Following the protest, Jit Singh and many others allegedly opened fire, injuring 11 persons including three police personnel.
On the basis of a complaint filed by village head Sher Singh, a case was registered against 16 Dera followers.
SHO Ajmer Singh of Bada Gudha police station said two of the 16 accused have already been arrested and efforts were on to nab all the other accused. Those arrested were identified as Balbir Singh and Babbra Singh.
