It’s not a conscious effort, but I just like to talk about my films and nothing else. Once the film is released I distance myself from the limelight. That helps me maintain a good balance between my professional and personal life.
When will the remake of your father Feroze Khan’s ‘Qurbani’ release?
We are still working on the script. We have big plans for the movie. We are finalising the cast of the film. Once that is done we will start rolling. Dad and I both are both looking forward to working together in this one.
Do you think Sanjay Dutt deserves the punishment?
For me, Sanjay Dutt is a real cool dude. He is a great friend. People who know him will vouch that he does not have a single criminal bone in him. The judgment has made all of us sad. When celebrities are involved in a particular issue, it gets more attention than it deserves. We all make mistakes and some of us get caught, but so much hype somewhere affects the decision making process, which can have negative impact on the people involved.
What is happening with your case (where he was caught with cocaine)?
I guess in a few days’ time charges will be filed. The case is going on since the past six years and I have learned to take everyday as it comes. The only way out of a crisis is to face it and fight it out. Hopefully, things will workout well in the end.
Many women are crazy about you. How do you feel about it?
It is very humbling. I still blush when somebody comes and says that she likes me. Sometimes it gets crazy. Once a woman followed me to five different cities and landed up at my farmhouse in Bangalore. After grilling some sense into her, things were under control.
