Telecom application services provider NetXcell on Thursday signed an agreement with Idea Cellular for providing SMS-based value-added services.

MUMBAI: Telecom application services provider NetXcell on Thursday signed an agreement with Idea Cellular for providing SMS-based value-added services.
Following the agreement, Idea mobile subscribers can access services such as news alerts, prices of commodities and astrology, it said in a statement.
"This new service is a further demonstration of our commitment to be a national player in value-added services business.
We will offer Idea subscribers with unique and innovative range of services. For NetXcell, this will be an additional revenue generator as several vendors of services/products can route their marketing through us," NetXcell Director Debasis Chatterji said.
