PUNE: A boy was killed in a wall collapse on Sunday night even as heavy showers continued to lash the city and surrounding region for the third consecutive day on Monday, affecting normal life.
The toll in the rain related incidents has gone up to 16.

An intersection bridge over river Mutha which flows through the city was closed for traffic after it came under water. The water level swelled further following discharge of around 25,000 cusecs from a dam near here.
A 12-year old boy was killed when a wall collapsed over the rickshaw in which he was sitting taking shelter from rains, police said.
The Katraj lake on city outskirts was overflowing following incessant rain.
Train services between Pune and Mumbai have been partially affected.
Catchment areas of various dams around Pune including Panset, Varasgaon, Temghar, Pawna and Koyna dam in Satara district recorded heavy rainfall registering a substantial rise in the water levels.
Widespread heavy rains were also reported from Kolhapur and Sangli in western Maharashtra.
