There was a brewing excitement amongst music aficionados about rock group Parikrama’s ticket to the Download Music festival, where they shared the stage with the likes of Iron Maiden, Evanescence and Dream Theatre to name a few. The guys cannot stop raving about all the fun they had at the festival.

“The experience was fantastic; we were put up in greenrooms next to Evanescence and Megadeath, and we were pretty kicked about being at the show. The response from the crowd was great and the experience of performing at the exclusive Iron Maiden show is something that’s unforgettable,” says keyboardist and manager Subir Malik.

While the band got to hang out as special guests of Iron Maiden, the response from the British media was also warm according to them. “The Maiden guys have a great sense of humour. And though they are into rock and roll, they don’t smoke or anything. The one thing I’ll never forget about the festival is the kind of moshpit that I saw during the performance; it’s the biggest I’ve ever seen in my life,” he exclaims.

Vocalist Nitin Malik pulls out his favourite anecdotes from the whole tour. “We caught performances by Papa Roach, Iron Maiden, Evanescence and Lamb of God. I spoke to Amy Lee for a couple of minutes. These experiences just widen your perspective,” he adds.

The band has also done a video recording of over 30 hours, and plans to make it into DVDs.
