DUBAI: Around 1000 labourers here, including housemaids, will be able to watch Tamil superstar Rajnikant's mega-budget movie 'Sivaji - The Boss' free of cost.

The Rajni World Welfare Trust, a non-profit organisation, is planning to distribute 1,000 tickets to labourers and domestic help across Dubai to watch the movie free. The trust, comprising 40 NRIs in the UAE, is raising money for the purpose.

Narayana Kannan, a trustee of the organisation said "There are many hard-working labourers in Dubai who wish to watch the movie but cannot afford it. That's why we decided to buy tickets for them."

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth mania swept across the UAE, as fans of the South Indian film megastar flocked to cinemas screening his latest blockbuster.

Cinemas showing the movie in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are fully booked for the next two weeks.

In Bahrain, the film has become so popular that it is the only movie being shown at two theatres and tickets are being sold in black, said Bahrain Cinema Company marketing and public relations head Sunil Balan.
