JAIPUR: The talks between the agitating Gujjar leaders and government have run into trouble with the Gujjar Sangarh Samiti leader Col Kirori Singh Bainsla turning down the invitation of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje for dialogue on Sunday.

Dr Roop Singh, one of the Gujjar leaders in the negotation with the government, while talking to UNI from Patoli over the phone said the Gujjars today decided to cremate the bodies of these killed in police firing after the government announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to next of kin of the killed in the violence.

He alleged that  Army has laid a seige to the agitators there and cut off their supply lines.

He said,  "We are being treated like terrorists". "If the government could not acceed to our demands let the Chief Minister come and salute the martyrs and we will be satisfied with that" he added. He alleged that "the government was using the language of force and in the present situation there was no point in talks".

Several rounds of talks held  between the representatives of the Gujjar after the agitation began on May 29 who were demanding their entry into the ST list for reservation and the government could not break the imbroglio with the Gujjar leaders insisting that they will not settle for any thing less than a reccomendation by the state to the Centre on their demand.
