Train services resumed on Delhi-Mumbai route

The Amritsar-Mumbai Golden Temple Express followed by other trains on this route and Rewari-Jaipur route will resume services.

NEW DELHI: After four days of disruptions due to Gujjar protests, normal train services were resumed on Saturday on the Delhi-Mumbai route via Gangapur city and Amritsar-Mumbai Central Golden temple Mail would be the first train to hit the tracks on the route.

The decision to resume long distance trains on certain routes, including the Delhi-Mumbai, was taken following a high-level discussion between railway Board and Government of Rajasthan, an official release said.

The Railways has also decided to run two additional pairs of special trains on Jaipur-Ringus Rewari metre gauge route, which has connectivity with Delhi through broad gauge route trains at Rewari, it said.

However, 12 other trains were cancelled, three partially cancelled and eight have been diverted on Saturday. Eight trains have been halted at different railway stations.

While five trains were cancelled by Northern Railway, one each is cancelled by North Central Railway, West Cetral railway Western railway and East Central Railway. Two trains were cancelled by North Western Railway.

The 12-trains cancelled are:

1. 2015-New Delhi-Ajmer Express
2. 4321-Bareily-New Delhi Express
3. 2060-Nizamuddin-Kota Express
4. 2916-Delhi-Ahmedabad Ashram Express
5. 2450-Nizamuddin-Madgaon Express
6. 2988-Gwalior-Jaipur Express
7. 2059 Kota-Nizamuddin Express
8. 2987-Jaipur-Gwalior Express
9. 2016-Ajmer-New Delhi Express
10. 2415-Indore-Nizamuddin Express
11. 4312-New Bhuj-Bareily Express
12. 9040-Muzaffarpur-Bandra

The three partially cancelled trains are:

1. 2414-Jammutawi-Jaipur Express (between Delhi-Jaipur)
2. 2413-Jaipur-Jammutawi (between Jaipur-Delhi)
3. 2182-Jaipur-Jabalpur (between Jaipur-Kota)

The eight diverted trains by Northern Railways are:

1. 2926-Amritsar-Bandra Express (via Mathura-Nagda)
2. 9024-Ferozpur-Mumbai Central (Bhopal-Nagda)
3. 2918-Nizamuddin-Ahmedabad Express (Bhopal-Nagda)
4. 2472-Jammutawi-Mumbai Central (Bhopal-Nagda)
5. 9106-Haridwar-Ahmedabad Mail (via Delhi-Bikaner)
6. 8631-Ranchi-Ajmer Express (via AgraCantt-Palwal-Bikaner)
7. 8474-Puri Express (via Bikaner-New Delhi Lado Sarai)
8. 9105-Howra Mail (via Bikaner)
