19 soldiers injured in Srinagar IED blast

SRINAGAR: At least 19 soldiers were injured in a massive IED explosion triggered by militants in Rajbagh area on friday, army sources said. Militants triggered the 20-kg IED at around 7 AM in the morning,targeting an army convoy which was on its way from Haft Chinar to Badami Bagh cantonment, the sources said.

A bus was damaged in the explosion in which 19 soldiers were injured. Only three personnel received splinter injuries while others were injured due to impact of the blast, sources said. No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
