Eight detained at airport

KOLKATA: Eight passengers who came to Kolkata from Hongkong via Bangkok were detained on Thursday at NSC Bose International Airport here when they tried to go out of the customs enclosure without declaring some mobile phone parts worth about Rs 10 lakh.

Customs sources said the eight were being interrogated for the past few hours and some more time would be needed to come to a final decision about them.
