Yuvraj, mother issued summons in assault case

GURGAON: A local court summoned cricketer Yuvraj Singh and his mother Shabnam to appear before it on May 28 in connection with an assault case after they failed to turn up on Monday.

Additional District and Session Court judge Balbir Singh issued the summons on the revision petition filed by Neelam Mahajan and her son Yuvraj Mahajan.

They alleged Yuvraj Singh and his mother misbehaved with them and assaulted Yuvraj Mahajan when they went to attend the cricketer's birthday party at his house here on December 12 last year.

The court was also informed that summons issued to the two the last time were returned unattended as Shabman Singh was out of town while Yuvraj Singh he had gone to "attend a camp".

Judicial Magistrate Rajrani Gupta has already issued a summons directing them to be present in the court on May 3 in the same case.
