Indian and Gati have launched a joint courier service called IC-Zipp. The duo will cooperate in developing express courier and logistics services.

NEW DELHI: Indian (Airlines) and logistics major Gati Ltd on Monday launched a joint courier service called IC-Zipp.
The two companies will cooperate in developing express courier and logistics services.
Indian covers 54 destinations in India and 18 in 15 countries with 74 aircraft and 325 daily flights. It has the largest cargo capacity among domestic carriers and a network capacity of 1,000 tonnes per day.
Gati has delivery capacity in 594 out of 602 districts across the country and has a fleet of over 2,000 vehicles. It has warehousing facilities supported by web-based track-and-trace system.
IC-Zipp has been launched in 119 cities in the first phase. The product is priced in the range of Rs 50 to Rs 150 for 500 grammes.
''Amid the robust trade and business growth environment, companies can now seamlessly access the networks of two market leaders,'' said Indian's commercial director Anita Khurana.
"The agreement will enable the two companies to complement each other's strength that is extensive network, multimode capability and a large base of customers,'' Gati's CEO and managing director Mahendra Agarwal said.
