ISLAMABAD: A top militant leader has flayed the Pakistan government for trying to improve relations with India instead of taking action against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his statement on 'dismemberment of Pakistan'.

Action should have been taken on the statement of Rahul Gandhi regarding 'conspiracy for dismemberment of Pakistan', said Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, founder of militant group Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), at a prayer meeting in a Rawalpindi mosque on Friday.

Instead of taking action against the Congress leader, the government of Pakistan is strengthening friendship with India, said Saeed, who is also the head of an Islamist charity group Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JUD), which has been accused of funding several terror plots.

Saeed praised hardline Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Gillani at whose public meeting recently anti-India slogans were raised.

Saeed said one can stay alive if one loses one arm but cannot if the jugular vein is lost.

"Kashmir is our jugular vein. Kashmir freedom movement will continue. We have to assure Kashmiris that freedom in the country."

"We support Lal Masjid management talks of Sharia," he said, adding the day is not far off when Islamic order will be in place in Pakistan, the Online News reported.

The JUD has been accused of funding terror plots abroad, including in India, with the millions of US dollars raised by its volunteers for the earthquake victims in Pakistan.
